East Village Factory Night | Andy Warhol

  • ArtsClub 311 East 3rd Street New York, NY, 10009 United States (map)

“The idea is not to live forever. It is to create something that will.”

-Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol’s influence and status as a Queer icon extends from the 60s to the present day. During this event, you’ll learn about Andy Warhol and the roles of gender and sexuality in his life and art. Then you’ll create your own silkscreen prints inspired by some of his most iconic works.

Like Andy Warhol, you’ll use images that have been transformed from pop culture magazines into silkscreens. You’ll add your own vibrant colors and personal touch so that your work is uniquely yours.
